Arcadis’ Calgary office is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the Canada West Regional Marketing Team. As a key player of the graphics design team, you will be an integral part of diverse design initiatives and work with different departments and specializations within the firm. Working with our marketing and proposal coordinators as well as senior leadership, you will bring your keen eye for design and creativity to produce proposals, marketing promotional materials, environmental graphics, and presentations.
NOTE: This is a full-time Maternity Leave position with an end date of July 31 2024. This position will have the flexibility of a hybrid work situation, combining a "work from home" and in office work environment for our Calgary office OR work remotely from Alberta or British Columbia locations of Vancouver, Kelowna, Edmonton, or Calgary.
Most of the things you’ll work on:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop visually captivating proposals in the Architecture & Engineering (A&E) field.
- Communicate effectively with print shops to ensure print-ready files are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Foster open communication and collaboration with team members, providing and receiving constructive feedback to continuously improve design outcomes.
- Stay up to date with current design trends, incorporating innovative ideas into your work.
- Exhibit exceptional attention to detail and possess strong quality assurance skills to ensure accuracy and precision in all design deliverables.
- Display a keen ability to make creative decisions, adapt quickly to new challenges, and take on responsibilities with a strong sense of accountability.
- Adhere to brand guidelines while pushing the envelope of creativity, ensuring designs align with brand standards and requirements.
- Manage workloads and prioritize tasks within a fast-paced and energizing environment, consistently meeting multiple deadlines without compromising on design quality.
- 3-5 years of experience in a design studio or as an in-house designer, Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field (preferred)
- Strong portfolio highlighting your design skills and demonstrating your creative approach.
- Proven experience working on proposals in the A&E field, showcasing your ability to create impactful designs for this industry.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver outstanding results.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- A passion for design and a genuine enthusiasm for staying ahead of design trends.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality designs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.
