Hope House Children’s Hospices have an opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our Communications team based in Oswestry. You will join us on a part-time, permanent basis, working either 15 or 22.5 hours per week. In return, our Graphic Designer will receive a competitive rate of £25,239 - £32,307 per annum, pro rata. Our Graphic Designer role benefits from being hybrid, enjoying the flexibility of working from home and the office.
Hope House Children’s Hospices are passionate about providing vital care and support to local children living with life-threatening conditions, and their families.
Our Communications team plays a vital role by harnessing the power of stories and imagery to engage and inform people across the region about the importance of Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith, the services that are available to children and families, and our need to raise £7.5 million every year to fund our work.
About the Graphic Designer role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Graphic Designer with a proven track-record in producing impactful print publications, marketing materials, press advertising and digital assets, including animation.
You will work with our growing team of communications and marketing professionals, and our existing Graphic Designer, in the delivery of targeted PR and media campaigns across all platforms, and design materials for all other areas of the organisation including Fundraising, Care, Retail, Volunteering and Recruitment.
You will have the skills to introduce fresh and exciting ideas, while remaining on-brand and in-line with our key messages, and receptive to other opinions and feedback. You will also be highly organised, excellent at prioritising and hitting deadlines, and most of all flexible, both in terms of time and duties, to ensure the Communications team can work effectively and seamlessly.
This role is on an employed basis, however we would be open to discussions from freelance designers.
What we are looking for a Graphic Designer who:
- Is qualified to Level 6 in a designrelated subject And/or at least two years’ studio experience
- Has an excellent portfolio of work demonstrating creative graphic design skills
- Has effective time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects
- Strong editing and proof reading skills
