In 2022, we’re rolling out our app across the EU, transforming our product with new features and functionalities, and introducing new products. In the UK, we now have over 1.4m registered users, a team of over 300, offering a range of products like the Freetrade Pension, a stocks and shares ISA, and our premium account, Freetrade Plus. Our media brand, Freetrade Honey, offers daily insights alongside deep dives into the companies and trends that the new generation of investors care about most.
You will:
- Deeply understand our brand identity and deliver this in all your work.
- Develop the Freetrade brand across new and existing channels and ad placements for marketing.
- Work closely with product design to ensure consistent messaging and design across all assets.
- Deliver static and motion assets to support marketing and the wider business.
- Tailor designs to the marketing channel, having a keen knowledge of what design execution works best across different channels; from Instagram to print.
- Build on our current illustration base, evolving the designs with the brand.
- Analyse market trends to ensure our ads are market leading.
- Work cross-functionally to help ensure design consistency across the business.
- Use data to effectively optimise marketing assets. Creating iterative designs to maximise the effectiveness of our advertising
- Build positive relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure the design process is efficient.
- Identify design challenges and run workshops with the team to deliver improvements in design output and processes
About you:
- You have 4-6 years of design experience, ideally within financial services, a startup, a scale-up environment or agency.
- You are a Graphic Designer with some experience with motion graphics. Ideally After Effects, Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, Blender and Lottie animation.
- You have superb knowledge of Figma and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- You have experience managing the creative process from inception to go live.
- You have proven graphic design experience and a strong portfolio.
- You have a keen interest in AI and how it can be leveraged to improve output and increase efficiency within design.
- You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment with changing and competing priorities.
- You are organised, can prioritise work efficiently and work within tight deadlines
- You have a growth mindset and are always looking for incremental improvements.
- You are scrappy and hands-on with no hesitation to get in the weeds.
- You have a degree in Art, Graphic Design, or a related discipline, ideally with further qualifications or openness to getting qualified within financial services i.e IOC.
- You have superb visual and concept skills
- You have a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
- You have a collaborative and a can-do attitude

Logistics & Benefits
The application process consists of a four stage process. You will initially have a phone interview with one of our internal Talent Specialists, followed by a call with the hiring manager and a run through of your portfolio, a cultural and behavioural interview, with the final round being a task with the hiring manager and members of the wider Marketing team.
