Forward Press are looking for a Middleweight/Senior Graphic Designer to work part time, 2-days per week.
Flexible working environment - can be entirely home-based with the option of using our offices in London within the Oval Cricket Ground.
You will be involved in a variety of projects from concept to delivery. You will primarily be working across a range of printed and digital sports publications and associated social media content. Seeing projects through from conception to print and approval processes against tight deadlines. You can also expect to be creating designs for a range of online and offline channels using illustration, photo editing and layout software.
Working within a sports communications agency a good knowledge and passion for sport will be highly desirable. Sports covered include: cricket, football, netball, american football, rugby, athletics and more.
You will be expected to take a lead role on your projects, working within the scheduled timescales, and overseeing the projects through to final delivery.
To be considered for this role, you will be required to have at least 3 years experience and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of magazine/book design; a strong portfolio that demonstrates your ability to think intelligently about design problems and create high-quality designs to tight timeframes.
As part of the interview process you will be asked to design a magazine feature, using InDesign, within the guidelines of one of our existing publications.
Experience/skills required:
* Creative suite - in particular InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
* Strong grasp of typography and magazine/editorial design
* Good conceptual and visualisation abilities
* Self-motivated
* Able to take design through from concept, presentation and to final artwork
Salary: £30k per year pro-rata (£12k per year for 2 days per week)
