Summary:
The Graphic Designer for Cushman & Wakefield | Stevenson is a creative thinker who ensures the visual identity of the company is consistent and professional. This role is responsible for the smooth and timely delivery of marketing materials in support of the brokerage and property management teams, and other internal teams as required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Post-secondary education in graphic design or a combination of other design training and work experience
- Strong working knowledge of graphics and design fundamentals, including current design trends, typography, colour theory, and layout principles.
- Highest level of attention to detail, with the ability to proofread and ensure accuracy in design deliverables while adding an element of creativity and artistic ability.
- Expert proficiency with Adobe programs (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator)
- Computer Skills – advanced skills in, Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programs required.
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly growing/changing environment with a high degree of resourcefulness and adaptability
- Communication Skills - Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both oral and written with both internal and external stakeholders; Experience communicating with media an asset
- Relationship Skills –Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships at all levels of the organization; be a mature and self-motivated team player with good conflict-resolution and people management skills; develop productive relationships with vendors
- Organizational Skills – Ability to allocate one’s time effectively and manage tight deadlines; ability to work under pressure and achieve quality results; ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities, ability to project manage and delegate where applicable
- Decision Making Skills – Ability to resolve problems using facts and sound reasoning; ability to achieve goals using a strategic approach; proven innovation with a willingness to manage and adapt to change.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures the consistent application of corporate branding in all published documents and other media.
- Thinks creatively and develops relevant design concepts, graphics, and materials including, but not limited to, brochures; newsletters; product/service reports; and innovative and timely website communications.
- Creates engaging content for brochures, PowerPoint presentations, websites, social media, etc. that communicate the necessary information in an effective way.
- Works closely with other team members to ensure a collaborative and consistent approach to handling tasks and requests, while remaining aligned with the company’s branding guidelines.
- Orders, tracks, and maintains a signage inventory in support of the brokerage team.
- Works closely with the brokerage and property management teams to understand their needs and develop engaging visual materials that support their efforts.
- Supports internal and external events as needed, including signage, invitations, and more.
- Collaborates with external vendors and printers to ensure accurate and high-quality production of marketing materials where required.
- Maintains a digital asset library, organizes and archives design files for easy retrieval and reuse as necessary.
- Provides support and assistance as required to other team members, in particular as workloads fluctuate.
- Collaborates effectively with team members throughout the business, from all levels.
- Makes use of knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
- Ensures that deliverables align with the strategic priorities of the business units supported.
- Other duties as required and assigned.
