Apprenticeship Job Title: Creative Marketing Apprentice
Apprenticeship Qualification: Digital Marketing Level 3
How does the Apprenticeship work?
As an Apprentice, you will be employed, just like anyone else at the company, the difference is that you will be studying towards a qualification.
You’ll spend a minimum of 6 hours a week (of your total working hours) in a number of different Training, Learning & Development Activities that all develop your Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours in line with your Apprenticeship Qualification. These will include (for example) staff meetings, online courses, shadowing other team members, as well as a monthly online (via MS Teams) study workshop, basically a lesson, with your Tutor, lasting between 2 and 3 hours, during which you will be taught a particular subject / topic / module.
Any work that you are set within this session is then expected to be complete for the next month’s session. You will be given time each week to do this within your working day/week – so no homework!! This will all prepare you for your End Point Assessment (EPA) once you have completed all the learning required. About the Role:
We are looking for someone that is hungry to succeed and improve their existing skill set. We are a luxury outdoor leisure retailer that have some really exciting products.
We have grown year on year and are now seeking the right candidate to join our already successful Creative & Digital Marketing team. You will ideally be someone that has general knowledge of working with different platforms (mentioned below), and who wants to bring new ideas and grow their marketing career within this Family Business.

And Day to Day? …. You will be Responsible for:
- Social Media Marketing, updating Company Facebook pages.
- Using Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn, as well as other platforms, to raise the profile of the business and interaction of customers.
- Create live and recorded digital content during events, edit and share on all social media channels.
- Ensure Customer follow up process is completed and measured.
- Optimising Ads
- Supporting with writing content and producing campaigns.
- Create images, artwork and point of sale in line with Marketing campaigns.
- Support in creating Product and/or campaign videos; film, produce and edit content.
- Communicating with stakeholders to create appropriate content.
- Responsibility for supporting website content and analytics as required.
- Maintaining Website and creating blog material.
- Produce and assist Company & Sales presentations.
- Assist with structuring email and digital marketing campaigns.
- Maintaining and updating all databases and CRM platforms.
Award Leisure needs someone who is creative, confident and who works well independently. As you’ll be working in a personable office, you’ll need a strong personality to join the team environment.
Skills Required:
- Evidence of interest in digital marketing and how it works
- Attention to detail; the successful candidate will need to know what is happening in the accounts they are working on and ensure they are on track to meet objectives
- Eagerness to learn; digital marketing changes fast, you never stop learning, so a desire to keep up to date and learn things is crucial
- Reliability; the successful candidate will be able to evidence their reliability. You will be working as part of a small, busy team who need to be able to trust you and rely on you
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Great communication skills, both verbal and written
- Evidence of effective teamwork
- A good eye for design; while this isn’t an exclusively creative role, the ability to spot when things don’t quite look right is a good thing
- Above all, be keen to learn and improve; It’s a junior role after all – we don’t expect you to know everything on day one!
Minimum Qualifications Required eg:
- 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths) and preferably in ICT, Business and/or iMedia
