Job description
We are looking for an experienced, ambitious and talented Graphic Designer/creative team member with bags of energy and great knowledge of digital and traditional design, marketing, print, web design, photography and videography to join our in-house design team.
You’ll play a pivotal role in how we reach others using your expertise and explore improvements to the way we communicate internally and externally.
You’ll also be responsible for advising and supporting customers and staff with design request in line with our corporate brand guidelines, internal processes and industry best practise.
Working as part of a small 2/3 person team in an organisation who’s creative work spans across a number of varied industries in various countries. The ideal candidate will be able to work well under pressure with the ability to jump from one project to another seamlessly without issue as well as working on multiple projects at once.

The role will require you to:
- Have good project management skills-aiding the head of the studio with the daily workload
- Be able to work well without instruction and be well-organised
- Take a creative and innovative approach that welcomes new ideas
- Be able to see your designs through from concept to fruition
- Be willing to help with tasks outside your role
- Have Mac and PC experience
- Have at least 3-4 years design experience in a studio environment
- Create a wide range of marketing and internal material across various digital and print based platforms
- Build, edit and maintain websites using wordpress
- Give your opinion on design work as part of a team
- Have good knowledge of HTML/CSS for editing and customising themes
- Create presentations for management meetings and liaise with managers and team members
- Create email marketing using online applications such as mailchimp
- Help organise the daily studio workload
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Experience of image-retouching
- Methodical and able to maintain image and document databases
- Have strong layout and typographic skills
- Be able to contribute to new design work as well as independently create new ideas
Skills required
- Excellent knowledge of the Adobe creative suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign)
- Good knowledge of print production both for in-house printing (posters and documents) along with outsourcing to litho and digital printers (Spot UV/Pantones etc)
- Create and edit presentations and documents in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent knowledge of building websites from scratch including hosting and initial set ups as well as a good understanding of wordpress and basic web design skills (HTML/CSS)
- Other website building package knowledge such as square space etc would be a bonus
- Creating e-mail and online marketing campaigns using mail chimp application or similar
- Have a wide range of creative design capability
- Good attention to detail and grammar/spelling
- Generate creative ideas and present them to our team
- Work well to tight deadlines under pressure
Desirable skills and knowledge
- Knowledge of photography and videography using equipment, shooting and editing material using photoshop/finalcut/premier pro
- Experience in animation software for digital and video media such as after-effects
- Good knowledge of general IT/office tech used withing the industry
- Experience and knowledge in SEO
- Experience and knowledge of social media design and marketing
- Experience in print binding
- Vehicle graphic design and vinyl printing/cutting and application
- Understanding of website maintenance (backups, anti virus, malware security etc)
Education/Experience
- BA Hons in a Graphic Design/Creative based course would be preferred
Additional information
- Before your interview you will be required to submit a portfolio of design and website work consisting of 10-15 pieces of work
- You will need to drive or have transport as we are located in the countryside of Orpington/Keston/Biggin Hill areas in Downe
- This is an in-house role and will require you to be in the office 5 days per week
- Full time working hours 8:30am – 5:00pm
