Looking for a role where you can work with the brand team, develop standout and creative assets for both the Regatta and Regatta Professional ranges and support brand and product communications for all marketing channels?
Do you have a minimum of 10+ years' experience from agency or in-house graphics department within a similar role?
If so, we have an opportunity for a Graphic Design Manager to join our Regatta Marketing team here in Urmston, Manchester.
As the Graphic Design Manager, you will be responsible for managing the in-house graphic team and any freelance support.
The role will work from concept inception through to concept delivery producing static images, video, advertising, digital, retail, social, packaging and POS. All of these are produced in-house in an extremely fast environment or using selected contractors or freelance support. Brand consistency in all marketing materials is vital and as the Graphic Design Manager you will act as Brand Guardian across all design projects. You will work with robust processes and systems to deliver to strict deadlines
The Impact you will have in this role is:
- Manage systems and processes – Manage workflow processes of the graphic dept, the awareness of deadlines and working with the wider team to ensure they are achieved.
- Collaborate effectively with key stakeholders, brand and marketing managers, designers, product teams and digital and retail teams
- Project Management on seasonal projects and new brand projects. Allocate the best resource, manage timelines and ensuring key deadlines are met by the team.
- Future planning – The ability to allows look ahead with calendar management, to fully finish one season before we start another allowing them to be more flexible.
- Champion creative thinking, bringing new ideas into the team for consideration.
- Budget management for freelance support in busy periods
- Brand guardian – Consistently high quality and accurate work. Help to produce up to date brand guidelines across all seasons and campaigns. Ensure these are used by the team and are updated seasonally
- Brand identity – Consistent brand identity throughout all marketing materials with appropriate use of key brand messages using the guidelines produced by the dept.
- Understand how to interpret brand creatives and campaigns across multiple channels (Retail, wholesale, web, social), ensuring artwork is produced in required formats.
- Sees the bigger picture – know the assets for all the collateral and campaigns produced each season and be able to manage the team on their projects
- Filing and drive management – Ensure the robust system of filing is being managed effectively and updated each season, with clear guidelines for 3rd part suppliers and agency support
- Presence at key events where necessary
As our future Graphic Design Manager, you will have:
- A minimum of 5+ years' experience managing a team of people and graphic dept
- Proven experience working in a fast-paced office with multiple projects and tight deadlines
- Proven experience in team management and leading a team of creatives
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external teams at all levels of seniority
- A champion of creative thinking, bringing new ideas to the team
- The ability to produce design work on a Mac and support team when required
- Able to interpret brand creative and campaigns across multiple channels (Retail, wholesale, web & social)
- Highly organised
- Enthusiastic can-do attitude
- Key influencer within a team
- Good listener with the ability to understand creative briefs
- High standard of customer care and teamworking skills
- Structured but flexible approach when managing deadlines, rescheduling work and finding solutions
- Workflow system management
- Good understanding of production – POS, promotional, outdoor media, large format and digital
- Ability to work within budgets
- Management of the contractor support budget
- A superuser of Mac systems, software, drives, storage & equipment, able to complete jobs and give technical advice
- The ability to learn the capabilities of internal systems and make informed suggestions
- Advanced skills using Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, After effects and Premier
