Do you have creative experience in graphic design? Fancy working for a young vibrant organisation that provides multiple services and opportunities for students? From festivals to campaigns the work you will be designing is fast paced and varied. We have either a full-time or part-time role dependent on the right candidate. This role would suit a recent graduate or an experienced freelance professional working around already established work. Remote working a possibility within the role.
Purpose of Post:
To promote the University of Plymouth Students’ Union (UPSU) and its activities and services through the design and production of promotional materials through both digital and physical platforms.
The Graphic Design Co-ordinator will be responsible for producing print and digital artwork, reporting to the Communications and Digital Manager, and working collaboratively across the Communications and Digital team, playing an integral part in producing and delivering creative output.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and Visual Communication:
- Create design as necessary for UPSU’s publications in both print and digital formats, to meet the needs of members, stakeholders and strategic objectives, as directed by the Communications and Digital Manager
- Working creatively in print and digital formats using the Adobe Creative Suite of applications and other software
- Produce assets for a variety of platforms including, but not limited to; templates, posters, flyers, point of sale, large format print, motion assets, digital screen signage and social media assets
- Support the wider UPSU team with asset creation where required such as image manipulation, reformatting and ensuring brand compliance
- Organise quotes with external printers and manage the design to print process including ensuring artwork is print-ready and compatible

Role Information:
- Permanent: Part-time or full-time role available dependent on the candidate
- Pay Scale: Grade 2, starting at £22,588 per annum (pro rata for part-time)
- Hours: 1665 hours per annum
