You will be part of a growing team providing support to clients with the identification, evaluation, securing, and checking the compliance of grant and incentives applications across the UK. The role will require you to work closely with client teams as you will be the central point of contact in supporting them through the application process.
Responsibilities include conducting research, supporting with the preparation of budgets and writing and editing components of grant submissions. This includes gathering supporting data for the client from external sources, analysis of the data and presentation thereof in charts or graphic form for use in discussions with grant awarding bodies.
You will require well-developed written and verbal communications skills to exchange technical and complex information. Work involves managing multiple priorities and planning and organising to meet established deadline. You will need to be proactive in discovering solutions to ensure a successful outcome for their respective projects.

- Develop Deloitte’s presence in the market, supporting with the writing and presenting of proposals to clients
- Planning and participating in client meetings and workshops
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with funding bodies
- Validation of project concepts for grant applications
- Research, analyse, compile, review and present data from a variety of sources in order to build strong business cases for grant projects. Data may be presented in a variety of formats such as graphs, maps, charts, illustrations, tables, diagrams, flow charts, plain text and other formats as needed
- Support with the preparation and review of client project budgets (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and summaries of key features) and supporting assumptions in a variety of formats
- Reviews latest regulations and grant funding body policies to determine how they relate to an application
- Gather supporting material for grant projects such as production/process charts, resumes, organisational charts, and letters of support
- Research funding sources and share information on funding opportunities to other team members
Connect to your skills and professional experience
- Awareness and understanding of the key components of a successful grant application including awareness of the UK’s international obligations on subsidy control
- Experience with project-based working and deadline-based deliveries
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A good understanding of business and financials
- An accounting qualification (ACA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) would be advantageous but is not essential

Personal independence
Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints.
