Avaliable Job Today Graduate Development Programme – Graduate Trainee

Job Description

CPL Industries is a £150M turnover business trading in solid fuels, activated carbons and refractory products across the UK, Ireland, Europe, Africa, USA and Asia Pacific. We are Europe’s leading manufacturer and distributor of domestic smokeless solid fuels, with a current product range that includes products targeted to have a reduced environmental impact.

Our range of winter and summer fuels, which includes smokeless coals, kiln dried wood, charcoal and other winter and summer fuel accessories trade under the Homefire brand, the UK’s largest and most recognised domestic solid fuel brand.

An exciting opportunity has risen within CPL Industries to take on three graduates with 3 different routes on offer. There is a Sales, Production or Operations route available for the successful candidates, who should have (but not limited to) a 2:1 degree completed by August 2023 relevant to the chosen route.

The Graduate Trainee’s will be offered a 2 year fixed term contract where they will have the ability to shape their career path by choosing the route they desire. The first year will be split into three 4 month blocks, each block will be a department relevant to the chosen route. For example if you were to chose an operations route, you would be involved in supply chain, our depot network and warehouse & logistics during year one. Year two will be a placement year, where you will chose the department/ area of the business you felt you excelled in the most during year one. The chosen department must be one of the 3 from year one of the programme.

The Graduate Development programme is a unique opportunity and unlike no other as the successful candidates have the ability to chose and form their own career. An executive level mentor will be assigned to each graduate relevant to their chosen route offering leadership and guidance whilst they take the early steps of their career.

Flexibility on travel will be required during the programme, depending on the chosen route you may need to relocate or allow for longer travelling times. It is expected that the majority of the available departments will be based at our head office in Killamarsh, however we do have sites spread across the UK which you must be willing to travel to.

Further training and courses will be on offer during the two year programme, this will be discussed prior to commencing employment. Projects will also be set throughout the programme whereby you will lead and manage your time to complete these.

Successful candidates will be invited to take part in our recruitment process where we would expect to formally offer by July 2023 for a September 2023 start date.
