Graduate Sustainability Advisor

Permanent, Full Time

Salary: up to £28,000

Hours: 40 (8.00am – 17.00pm)

Location: Stratford, E20 2AF

We are recruiting for a Graduate Sustainability Advisor to join our Facilities Sustainability team on the new UCL contract based in Stratford.

This is an excellent opportunity to kick start your career in sustainability, gaining knowledge and experience of implementing sustainability best practice in a corporate environment. Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will be responsible for helping to develop and embed the sustainability and social value strategies across the operating companies. The successful candidate will be an individual with a passion for sustainability along with a pragmatic appreciation of the need to balance sustainability and commercial interests.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A passion for the environment and sustainability
  • Post-graduate in environment or sustainability management
  • Understanding of ISO14001 would be useful however training will be provided
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to input, extract and present complex data to communicate with others

You would be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Sustainability Manager with developing and deploying the sustainability and social value strategy
  • Supporting the development and delivery of sustainability and social value training modules
  • Supporting with the development of effective communications including website content, sustainability reporting and behaviour campaigns
  • Data collation and analysis to enable reporting on a suite of environmental and social value indicators
  • Carrying out audits to check compliance against environmental legislation, ISO14001
  • Helping to develop and update policies, procedures, templates and guidance documents to ensure compliance with ISO14001
  • Working with the bid teams to review environment and sustainability responses
