Graduate Software Engineer C/RTOS
We are looking for high calibre STEM subject graduates for an established engineering company hiring Graduate Software Engineers in Southampton. The company develop real time software, predominantly in C, solving mathematical and geometric problems in relation to safety systems for heavy duty construction machinery. Safety critical sensors are the main product but after recently being acquired by an international group there is scope to work on a variety of R&D machinery projects.
This is an opportunity for a Graduate Software Engineer looking to make a significant contribution in a small team developing physical products with practical applications. There’s never been a better time to join this growing software company who have just added a huge rail project in the pipeline.
Graduate Software Engineers will ideally be based near Southampton or willing to relocate there and go into offices 3 days a week with 2 days remote work. Have a degree in a STEM subject from a Russell Group university with projects in either C, C++, C# or Java.
Required:
- C, C++, C# or Java
- Degree in a numerate discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Physics or Maths) from one of the Russell Group universities
Beneficial:
- Web applications using JavaScript
- Knowledge of electronic systems
- Low level software/firmware programming
- Communication protocols such as TCP/IP, serial and CAN bus
- Unit testing frameworks
- Python
- Linux shell
- Test-driven design
