Our Fire team in Belfast own 3 mission critical applications used to help US firefighters go about their daily job of protecting their communities and saving lives.
We are searching for a Graduate Software Development Engineer to help us build out new product features. Our engineering teams leverage modern, cloud-based serverless architectural patterns as well as the latest CI/CD DevOps tooling and processes.
You will have the chance to join a growing and passionate team, working on critical products, whilst being supported with training opportunities and being mentored by an experienced and friendly team of Engineers.
The Belfast Fire team have full autonomy over all applications, from implementation right through to delivery into production. You will be part of the Product Engineering team, reporting to the Development Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing – the day to day
- Be treated as one of the team, we will support you to help you grow and become a better engineer
- Be part of a team that encourages you to grow and share the knowledge you’ve learned
- Develop software that contributes to the ESO suite of applications, supporting the emergency services
- Work on a range of cloud technologies
- Learn architecture, design patterns and new ways of working
- Be open to CI/CD, automated testing, code review, pair programming, source control and domain driven design
- Work directly with designers and business analysts to create customer driven products
Who You Are - some of the essential things required to be successful in the role:
- A completed third level qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a STEM discipline.
