About us
Group IT has approx. 500 staff working a flexibly hybrid working model based across our Stratford Head office and Bristol and York sites. We offer 4 main IT occupational pathways that are driving change projects and Business as Usual (BAU) services to ensure our services are up to date and fit for purpose in this new digital age.
The 4 occupational technical pathways are;
1. ARCHITECTURE & CYBER SECURITY (Develop, Implement & Secure)
2. CLOUD & BUSINESS SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT (Design, Create and Test)
3. SERVICE DELIVERY (Maintain & Repair)
4. RISK & BUSINESS ANALYST (Planning, Monitoring and Reporting)
The Role
Our 3-year IT Professional trainee scheme recruits will be based at our Head Office site based in Stratford upon Avon whilst also remote working as part of the role. During the scheme you will a have a series of placements across your chose occupational technical pathway, this role relates to the ARCHITECTURE & CYBER SECURITY (Develop, Implement & Secure) pathway.
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT SOMEONE WITH A MORE TECHNICAL PASSION/INTEREST.
You will gain experience of many different areas of Cyber Security Services including: Cyber Operations, Architecture & Design, Vulnerability management, Technical Security and Security Assurance. You will also gain experience & knowledge within the wider Group IT as you work on projects, systems and architecture that integrate and interface with other IT departments.
You will also gain valuable experience in teamwork, working to deadlines, problems solving, working to regulatory standards and building on your presentation and consultative skills.
To enhance your career, you will also undertake a few IT professional related qualifications and/or certifications to validate your skills & knowledge as you learn and progress. This could include a Level 7 Masters Apprenticeship in Cyber Security, where appropriate.
Job Specification
- Be involved with delivering projects and change initiatives that enable real business benefit.
- Develop your leadership, judgement, and decision-making skills.
- Support you in obtaining relevant professional qualifications such as the CII Certificate in Insurance and a relevant IT qualification such as ITIL and other Cyber related certifications.
Person Specification
An excellent communicator and problem solver, who can build strong working relationships right across the board, we will be looking for a history of good academic performance, culminating in a good degree in a relevant subject area.
Equally important, will be a positive attitude and a willingness to consistently challenge yourself to be the best you can be.
