The above fixed-term part-time (0.6 FTE) post is available immediately until 22 July 2023 in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences.


This role can be based anywhere in the UK.


The post

The Faculty wishes to recruit a Graduate Research Assistant to support the work of Dr Catherine Butler. This Education Incubator funded post is available immediately until 22 July 2023. The successful applicant will conduct an initial evaluation of the International Buddy Scheme and conduct a literature review in the area. The post holder will be working remotely.


The post will include writing up the initial evaluation into a report format for the Education Incubator, as well as conducting a literature review and writing this up as a contribution to a future peer-reviewed paper submission.


About you

The successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.


Applicants will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to work independently, possess interview and questionnaire analysis skills, be able to conduct a qualitative Thematic Analysis and write research reports.
