Main Purpose of the Job
Based in our Luton office, you will support our project management team delivering projects in the Highways, Rail Infrastructure and Building sectors. This role will offer hybrid working but for at least the beginning you will be expected in the office 4 days per week. Therefore, you must live within commutable range to Luton to be considered for this role, or highlight you can relocate in your CV.
Reporting to the Associate Project Manager you will be responsible for supporting the effective delivery of our design services across a range of varied and interesting projects to cost, programme and the required quality. This will be a challenging and exciting role which will be well suited to a highly motivated and organised team player.
Main Duties and Responsibilities;
- Assist other members of the Project Management Team to drive projects forward.
- Regular liaison with all relevant parties as instructed by the Principal Project Manager.
- Assisting with the procurement process.
- Assisting with bid submissions as directed.
- Liaising with/ assisting Principal/ Project Manager.
- Contract administration.
- Planning key tasks.
- Reporting on progress and cost.
- Co-ordinating meetings with clients, design teams and third parties.
Essential
Preferred
Qualification
- HNC or higher qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
- Member of a professional institution
- APM Project Management qualification.
Experience
- Familiar with project management or construction methods and principles.
- Appreciation of health and safety issues in relation to the design and construction of civil engineering works.
Skills
- Effective decision making and strong verbal and strong verbal and written communication.
- Proactive and driven approach to work and creating success.
- Ability to working in a team of diverse individuals to meet common objectives.
- Driven to achieving deadlines set by Clients and Managers.
- Detailed knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project.
