- Apply to the graduate programme on the Careers Portal. Search for the graduate scheme using the keyword 'graduate'. Click apply - you will need to register, complete your personal details and upload your completed application form in the CV field. You do not need to upload a separate CV.
The application deadline for the Risk, OCOO and OCOO Technology programmes is 10 March 2023.
Recruitment for the Finance programme is on an ad hoc basis please check the Careers Portal for current opportunities.

Overview of the Programmes
We offer a number of structured graduate opportunities currently across the Office of the Chief Operating Officer ('OCOO'), Risk Management and Finance. We believe our graduate programmes offer a fantastic platform to shape your future career. Throughout the programme you will gain well-rounded knowledge and develop skills to kick-start your career in financial services. The highest achievers will be well positioned to form the next generation of the Bank's leaders and specialists.
The graduate programmes are based in London and offer the chance to rotate across different teams, learning from diverse, talented and experienced professionals. The programmes are supported by an initial training induction, on-going learning and development through professional qualifications, all with the support of the Graduate Programme Coordinators and experienced mentors. In addition, our London office offers hybrid working on a discretionary basis.

What are we looking for?
Final year undergraduate/masters students (or equivalent), as well as recent graduates with some work experience. We are looking for ambitious, dynamic and driven individuals to join our graduate programmes with the following key attributes.
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Confident and effective communicator (both verbal and written)
- Strong organisational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong team player
- Problem solving ability
- Drive to improve and simplify
- High level of integrity
- Adaptability
In addition, for the Risk programme:
- An ability to communicate ideas/recommendations effectively
- A proactive approach to relationship building
- An ability to communicate in Mandarin is considered beneficial
In addition, for the OCOO programme:
- Good awareness of financial services industry
- Aptitude for analysis with strong Excel skills
In addition, for the OCOO Technology programme:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or Science is desirable, however, if you have a strong interest in technology outside of your studies please apply.
- Programming skills would be beneficial e.g. VBA, Python, C#, SQL, Java
In addition, for the Finance programme:
Recent university graduates, previous work experience is beneficial but not essential, and would suit someone who;
- Prefers a day to day role with a set schedule and relatively stable workload
- Prefers working in a controlled environment and operating in accordance with agreed policies and procedures
- Has an affinity for accounting concepts (including willingness to study towards an accountancy qualification)
- Wants to fully understand end to end processes and proactive in following up on and resolving any issues
