The role
Joining at SLR’s Project grade – which covers Masters or DipLA postgrads within their first roles or postgrads with some commercial experience in consultancy or a design studio environment – you will work under the mentorship and supervision of SLR’s talented Landscape team, with encouragement and support to undertake your P2C and become a Chartered Landscape Architect.
Working within a diverse multidisciplinary consultancy workloads will be varied. Along with design, you will also have the opportunity to develop LVIA assessment and reporting skills. SLR’s Landscape team work with clients across a broad range of sectors, including Minerals and Mining, Waste, Energy and Built Environment (including residential, healthcare, public realm etc).
Your main duties and responsibilities:
You would be working on a range of diverse and challenging minerals and mining, power, public realm, residential and healthcare projects and we would expect you to be interested in being involved in the design of schemes from the conceptual stage through to implementation, as well as landscape planning including master planning and landscape and visual assessments.
Day-to-day tasks will be varied including site work and photography, plan production to support design and assessment projects, basic assessment reporting, as well as, the preparation of landscape management plans and landscape specification working alongside the senior landscape team and project managers.

About you
- Landscape Architecture Degree and Masters or Postgraduate diploma
- A good team player with excellent verbal/written communication and presentational skills.
- A flair for design, and a desire to pursue a successful career within the discipline
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (or equivalent), Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD
- Full driving licence valid in the UK
