Graduate Finance Assistant - Permanent - £26k – Glasgow

Meraki Talent are delighted to be engaged on a new Finance Assistant role based in Glasgow City centre. This company are looking for a graduate who has a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

The Company

This client is an award-winning specialist bank. They are an looking for a new Finance Assistant to join their team in Glasgow. This role has fantastic career progression and will pay for study support.

The Role

The Accounts Assistant role has the following duties:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Reconcile and maintain bank and cash accounts.
• Process invoices and expense reports.
• Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies.
• Provide support for audits and financial reviews.
• Perform general administrative tasks as needed.

The Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• 1 years experience working within a finance role is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and concepts
