Job description

Process Safety Solutions is the independent control and safety systems specialist. With offices in Aberdeen and Colchester, PSS provide control and safety system services to the energy industry including new system builds, system upgrades, system modifications and support and maintenance. PSS also have an inhouse software development team who have develop and maintain industry leading software packages including the Process Safety Management System.

A Graduate Engineer performs office based design work using various software tools. Opportunities to carry out onshore and offshore site work in the UK will also be available.
This position provides the opportunity to further develop a very good understanding of electrical and electronic principles applied to control and safety systems through reading, further education and practical work including interaction with all technical staff in the company.

Organise your time efficiently, identify project goals and plan to achieve them and be able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Reports to: Systems Manager and designated Systems Engineer.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Carry out any work as required by the company
  • Produce comprehensive reporting according to documentation standards followed by the company
  • Cultivate and maintain a professional image at all times

The work will cover the following areas:

  • Implementation of control and safety systems
  • Installation of control and safety systems
  • Assist with commissioning of control and safety systems
  • Support and maintenance of in-house IT systems
  • Periodic testing of systems and software
  • Engineering of modification packages
  • Production of Reports

Qualifications/Experience


  • Degree educated with a minimum of BEng/BSc in Electronic/Electrical or Software Engineering.
