About the role:
We are Last Mile Asset Management; a fast-growing and dynamic business that adopts and operates utility networks across Great Britain. The utility networks that we operate distribute gas, electricity, water and heat to residential and commercial customers and we also provide wastewater services to the same group of customers.
We are part of the Last Mile Infrastructure Group, one of UK’s largest independent network owners, owning and operating in excess of 500,000 connections serving residential and commercial customers. In total the Group employs over 1,000 people across the UK.

About You:
You are, or will soon be, an Engineering Graduate with a degree in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering. We are looking for engaging individuals who are comfortable working with people at all levels and who are skilled communicators. Alongside this key skill is the ability to think logically and be able to find creative and innovative solutions to challenging problems. We expect you’ll be good at managing your time and be able to motivate yourself to get the job done. Furthermore you’ll also need a degree of flexibility and be happy with occasional travel, be that for work or to attend training and development opportunities at various locations across Great Britain.
What you’ll be doing:
You will follow a two year tailored programme of placements in all businesses within the Last Group with particular focus on the activities of Last Mile Asset Management. This two year programme will give you a fantastic grounding in what we do in Last Mile Asset Management across the full utility asset life cycle starting at business development and continuing through design, construction and commissioning and ending at asset operations and maintenance. This broad and diverse programme will prepare you for your first substantive role within the business. The two year programme will enable you to develop a valuable network across the Last Mile Group.
As well as working in a variety of placement roles we’ll ensure you receive the training, mentoring and support required to grow and excel in your role. This ongoing support will help develop the technical skills and behaviours to progress your career with us and help prepare you to become one of our future leaders.
What happens after the Graduate Programme:
On successful completion of the programme we will work with you with the aim of matching your career aspirations to the engineering needs of the business and you will become an Engineer with Last Mile Asset Management.

Next Steps:
Successful candidates will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre and asked to complete an online test prior to attending.
Assessment Centre is anticipated to take place w/c 17th July 2023.
Unsuccessful candidates will be informed on an ongoing basis up until the closing date.
