Graduate Design Engineer

Stressline Limited have over five decades of knowledge and experience and offer a wide range of structural building products across the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to join our established multi-million-pound turnover building products manufacturing Company.

This new role offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a small team to design new production machinery and mechanical handling systems and to re-engineer existing systems. To enable growth in certain key market sectors and reduce costs through efficiencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Working closely with a variety of engineers, managers, and the Managing Director
• In-house design of production machinery and mechanical handling equipment
• Project management - involvement in the whole project cycle from concept through to production design.
• Re-engineering of existing machinery and systems
• Preventative maintenance specification and reviews
• Sourcing and purchasing of engineering components, equipment, and consumables.

Person Specification:

• Mechanical Engineering Degree BEng (IMechE) qualified or similar
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD Software, such as Catia or Solidworks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to use initiative to problem solve.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary £24k to £28k per annum
• 28 days paid holiday in your first year of employment, rising to 31 days after one years’ service.
