As it enters its eighth year, the current DPD group Network Graduate development programme has now gained accreditation from the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics. This endorsement not only recognises the benefits of the development scheme, it will also provide support and networking opportunities for our aspiring future leaders. CILT accreditation and Graduate membership ensures a structured scheme as well as supporting continuous professional development through the three years of the programme.
Starting your career on a comprehensive 12 month development programme, you will develop your management skills within this fast-paced delivery environment in all positions that report to an Operations Manager, including five rotations on AM (nights), PM and PM Collections (afternoons) , Dispatch (Mornings) and Customer Experience sections in your base depot.
You will experience a comprehensive 7 week induction and full training over the next 12 months to gain exposure to all areas of running a successful parcel delivery operation, including people management, finance, planning, transport legislation, security and health and safety in a 24/7 - 365 Business.
As the successful graduate you will be educated to degree level with a minimum 2:1 Classification or equivalent and you will also:
- Have entitlement to work in the UK
- Be resilient and enthusiastic
- Be flexible to accommodate the high-volume nature of the role
- Hold a full driving licence
- Be open to relocation after your first year in the programme.
- Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability.
- Be able to work days, nights and weekends in a demanding and high pressure environment.
Additional Information
After successful completion of the 1st year programme our Graduates will be appointed to Shift Manager and then have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge over the next two years.
