Job description

RPS is looking for a GIS Specialist (Assistant Consultant) to join our Digital and Design Team, part of our wider UK Planning and EIA team. The team focus on using technology and design to support an exciting range of projects including some of the UK's most important renewable energy projects. We offer opportunities and mentoring in GIS, 3d visualisation, graphic design, web design, master planning and data analysis.

What you’ll be doing

We work primarily in ArcGIS, with some tasks in AutoCad and Adobe suite. Typical tasks could be:

  • Ecological survey data capture and management
  • Map production for reports
  • Updates to the look and feel of drawings.
  • Mapping environmental constraints.
  • Assisting with visualisation work

Who we’re looking for

Ideally you will have a degree (or equivalent) in Geography or Geographic Information Science. You will be a fast learner who can help the team get the most out of new technology. Experience in ArcGIS and the ESRI suite is essential. Useful skills to have are ArcGIS Online and FME.
