At the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, a group of passionate and determined people work to design, develop, manufacture and race the cars driven by seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton and rising star George Russell.
The Team has set a new benchmark for Formula One success during the sport’s current Hybrid era, winning consecutive Drivers’ and Constructors’ World Championships in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020, and the Constructors’ Championship in 2021.
An exciting position has arisen for an inquisitive, highly methodical, and self-motivated engineer to join the CAE group.
As a member of the CAE group, you will build new software solutions, enhance our existing systems, developing new functionality to improve interdepartmental connections.
Projects will evolve around our engineering support tools, our engineering data infrastructure and our analysis systems, pushing both yourself and the team to challenge the boundaries of technical innovation and engineering excellence. In return, we will provide you with opportunities for growth, mentoring support and the chance to support our race team at live events.

The role:
Reporting totheSeniorCAE Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Enhancing existing systems and build new functionalities to further integrateour existing systems
- Exploring latesttechniquesandmethodologies and continuously improve how we make software
- Continuously developing your technical skills to suit a variety of business needs
- Support our live race events,ensuring reliability andaccess the tools is seamless
What we are looking for:
Essential criteria:
- A STEM degree or being currently engaged in achieving this degree
- A sound understanding of Systems and Mechanical applications and of its prime aspects that would be essential to emphasize by appropriate software development strategies
- Experience of coding in Matlab/Python or similar high-level programming language is required
- The ability to work across multiple projects and manage ever evolving priorities is an essential aspect of this role
- An ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently with all members of the organisation
Desirable criteria:
- Experience of working with relational and non-relational databases
- A demonstrable passion for software development, with the drive to develop and improve tools so that many users can solve complex problems and gain unique insights
- An appreciation for data analysis techniques (including but not limited to AI/Machine learning) would be a bonus
