Job description
Do you enjoy solving complex problems and working with numbers? If so, our Graduate Analyst Programme could be an exciting next step for you in your Graduate Career!
What will your role look like?
Our modelling analysts work closely with actuarial and investment client-facing teams (consultants and analysts) as well as directly with clients and external advisors. This is a diverse role where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of analytics projects, so no two days will be the same for you. However as you build experience, some of the key activities you will be involved in will include:
- Spending time working on detailed analysis of large and complex data sets, running models and analysing the results of these
- Partnering with others across the business, as a modelling subject matter expert, to help interpret and present analytics to support straightforward actionable advice
- Supporting colleagues across the business with driving efficiencies within our processes, in particular by working alongside development teams to unlock the benefits of cutting-edge technology
For those interested in completing professional qualifications to develop domain knowledge, particularly within pensions and investment, this role can also offer a package of study support. However, while we think this would be a fantastic way for you to develop your skills and knowledge, this is not a mandatory requirement of this role.
Is this you?
This would be a great opportunity for graduates or career changers who are looking to kick-start their career in analytics. We are keen to speak to people who:
- Enjoy working with large sets of detailed data and other forms of information
- Enjoy learning about mathematical modelling techniques
- Enjoy communicating technical output in a clear, understandable fashion
- Have an interest in building their experience in R, in particular to prototype modelling solutions
- Are self-motivated, with the ability to use their initiative to get tasks done
- Can work quickly and accurately, with great attention to detail
- Are strong communicators, who enjoy working as part of a team
- Would be excited to learn more about how our business uses analytics and digital more broadly, and are enthusiastic about beginning a career within this area
In addition to a competitive salary we can offer you:
- A flexible selection of employee benefits, so you can choose a package that best matches your lifestyle and needs
- A collaborative and supportive work environment where your thinking and ideas are encouraged
- On site mental health and wellbeing support
- A commitment to helping you develop both personally and professionally, with mentoring opportunities and access to our award-winning learning portal, Aspire
- Regular social activities, in addition to three days paid volunteering leave each year and an additional day’s leave to celebrate your birthday
We are continually working to improve our inclusive culture and employ diverse talent. We therefore welcome applications from all persons.
Please note, we recruit on a rolling basis so early applications are recommended to avoid disappointment.
