GP Receptionist
We are looking for a motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our busy reception team. This is a part time/ full time position (25 to 35 hours per week). It is essential that applicants are flexible to cover for holidays/absences.
You must have excellent communication and IT skills, good telephone manner, ability to work in a team setting, good attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Previous medical receptionist experience would be desirable but is not essential as training will be given.
The chosen candidate will work between two sites (Main site in Grangetown and Branch site in Butetown) covering opening hours of 8:00 am - 6.30 pm Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer and make telephone calls in a professional manner and assist with appointments, visits and general enquiries; ensuring calls are signposted appropriately.
- Ensure an efficient front desk service is provided to patients and other visitors attending the practice.
- Deal with queries from patients, clinicians and other health professionals.
- Register new patients and process repeat prescriptions on daily basis.
- Maintain and keep both paper and electronic patient records up to date.
- General administration duties: filing, photocopying, scanning, data entry and providing support to clinical team.
- Restock and clear consulting rooms on regular basis.
- Other reception duties as required.
