Shape the future of a growing business
You will report to the Head of Market and Government Affairs and will work closely with our business units throughout Scotland, to help develop strategies that will enable business opportunities and focus on market positioning.
Your responsibilities
influence, monitor and report policy development particular to Scottish market;- work on strategic investment model for future Scot wind development;
- supply chain focus for Scottish market including onshore sector deal representation;
- external representation of Siemens Energy for our markets
- You will contribute by supporting our business teams in securing multi million to billion energy infrastructure and digitalization deals in Scotland
- Working with the business to support the creation of unique selling points to achieve positive top-line impact. Support regional public sector projects and cooperate closely with the global Government Affairs team
- You will identify regulatory opportunities according to our business and innovation strategy in relevant political arenas.
- You will engage and interact with external partners incl. government officials and major accounts, individually or jointly with regional leadership.
- Be a thought leader, communicating publicly on the industry topics (articles, panels, media, debates) in both verbal and written form
What you Bring
You have a university degree in business administration, engineering, public policy, international relations and / or equivalent. An advanced degree (MBA, MPA) is a plus- As an expert you have at least 5 years of relevant experience in project / infrastructure business as well as leading international project teams. You have substantial experience in handling corporate government affairs on a senior level.
- Due to your experience in public policy and international affairs you are able to give profound guidance on the geopolitical policies and interests in the region.
- Knowledge and strong experience working with the Government and public sector in Scotland
- Proven experience of strong advocacy skills to enhance value for Siemens Energy and possesses the ability to align internal and external interests to jointly create solutions and projects with many stakeholders involved.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Based in Scotland with frequent face to face meetings in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen with occasional travel to Siemens Energy sites around the UK and Europe.
