The Role
We are offering a 12-month internship starting in July 2023, and ending in July 2024. Based at our offices in Granta Park, Cambridge or remote within occasional travel distance to London & Cambridge. You will have the opportunity to engage in meaningful project work, professional and personal development, and networking opportunities.
This position is to support many different aspects of government affairs, including providing political and policy intelligence, participating in meetings with high-level decision makers, as well as working closely in a cross-functional team across multiple countries.
Responsibilities
- Research and drafting of documents such as strategic policy briefings, policy consultations, official letters and e-mails
- Monitoring new policies and announcements from government, as well as keeping the Government Affairs team, and the wider team, regularly updated on relevant announcements
- Mapping and auditing key political and third-party stakeholders and overseeing the government affairs stakeholder database
- Supporting the delivery of a robust contact program by securing meetings and engagements with Members of Parliament, leading civil servants and relevant government executives in collaboration with the local government affairs agencies in each market
- Keeping the company calendar regularly updated with stakeholder and partner events, as well as any events where a presence may be required
- Coordinating the publication of the EMEA weekly government affairs newsletter
- Carrying out desk-based research

Requirements:
- Keen interest in health policy and government affairs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of standard office software
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Capacity to work alone and as part of a team
Preferred Education/Experience:
Currently undergraduate in international relations, international politics or European Law and Politics
