Hours: 15 hours per week – term time only (40 weeks)
Location: Based at Our Buckinghamshire Office, currently at Moat Farm, Marsh Lane, Stoke Mandeville, Buckinghamshire, HP22 5UZ with some travel across Buckinghamshire and Milton as Keynes required. The opportunity to work from home in this role is significant.
Salary: £22,500 - £24868 per annum pro-rata

As a growing trust we are expanding our team and pleased to share this exciting new opportunity for a Governance Assistant to join our Shared Services Team. The role will provide you with the opportunity to work collaboratively with Local Governing Bodies, Clerks and the central ODBST shared services team to ensure the delivery of a high-quality and consistent clerking and governance support service across all ODBST.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join with a direct career path to Governance Lead / Head of Governance role. Whether you’re at the start of your career, wishing to make a career change, or for someone who may be looking to move out of a current education role, if you have the transferable skills for this role, we would love to hear from you.
In addition the National Governance Association have just released their career pathway for various levels of governance and this role would support mentoring candidates on the next step in their professional governance career.
The successful candidate will:
· Ability to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to provide professional clerking services to governing boards.
· Good understanding of legislation, procedures and policies relating to school governance or a willingness to learn.
· Proven administrative and organisational abilities.
· Ability to work independently and flexibly, taking the lead in sphere of work.
· Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
· Customer focused.
· Flexibility in organisation of work and time.
· Commitment to continuous improvement
· There will be occasional travel within the ODBST geographical area as required.
· ICT literate
