Role: Warehouse Goods In Supervisor
Location of Role: Carnbane, Newry
Rule Purpose: Responsible for leading the Goods In Team and supporting the Warehouse Operation to ensure that goods in standards and booking in deadlines are always met
Accountable to: Warehouse operations lead
Accountable for: Goods Inbound
Key Relationships: Department Managers, Trading and Sales Team, HR, H&S, Customer Service, External clients and customers and 3PL partners.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that products arriving at the Warehouse are unloaded, inspected, checked, receipted, and efficiently stored in the correct location
- Organise and supervise the goods inwards team, ensuring that their tasks and activities are completed efficiently and accurately
- Check delivery notes against PO’s ensuring there are no discrepancies
- Adhere to Health and Safety and all staff/Visitors within the Goods In area
- Organise all booking in of deliveries, plan schedule with Replenishment Supervisor to control allocation of arrival of all deliveries to warehouse
- Feedback any stock concerns or queries to the Operations Lead and relevant members of Trading Team
- Review GRN with Warehouse Manager, review quantities and plan ahead to maintain consistent flow.
- Liaise with Trading and accounts payable teams on issues, with a level of atomy to use own discretion, knowledge and experience to accept or refuse goods on arrival to warehouse
- Use the Shared File to complete the daily matrix to inform trading and Operations Manager of all supplier delivery issues.
- Manager and segregate all bulk loads on arrival and liaise with Warehouse Manager Organise your team to assist on warehouse floor as and when necessary
- Responsible for the upkeep of the yard and maintaining high housekeeping Standards
- Responsible for the management of empty pallet stock in the business and arranging 3PL collections to maintain a tidy yard.
- Ensure all pallets are loaded for return to the supplier
- Ensure procedures and team targets are strictly adhered to
- Measure and report the effectiveness of the department activities
- Report any areas of concern to Operations Manager
- Adhere to and support company KPI’s
- Complete all relevant paperwork in a timely and concise manner
- Ensuring investigations are carried out and our systems reflect correct site position.
- Investigating the root cause of quality issues and defects are obtained, and the key stakeholders are engaged to eliminate the source
- Continually improve warehouse operations by recommending measures to improve quality of service and efficiency.
- Responsible for managing and reporting employees’ issues on warehouse floors, to include: monitoring of absences and timekeeping and performance.
