Golf Membership & Administration Officer - Job description

  • Based at Peterborough Milton Golf Club, Milton Ferry, Peterborough
  • Full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 09:00 to 17:00
  • Reports to the General Manager

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities;

  • Provision of day to day administrative and technical support:
  • Provide first line support for all incoming telephone and email calls and messages as well as dealing with Members coming into the office.
  • Provide first line support and complete arrangements for all potential PMGC Golf and Golf Society visitors and potential Social Event customers.
  • Provide first line support for all Member queries and requests for assistance.
  • Process new member enquiries & applications efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate information in the IG Membership system.
  • Assist in the creation of members bills and renewal process.
  • Take Payments for PMGC Services and Competitions via telephone and ‘in presence’ PDQs.
  • Provide full administrative support for all PMGC online systems and services.
  • Provide administrative services for the General Manager and PMGC Board of Directors where necessary.
  • Work with all sections to co-ordinate the Clubs diary, assisting in scheduling matches, events, and competitions.
  • Where appropriate, provide administrative support to the Club Committees, e.g. Handicap & Competitions, to ensure efficient running of the golf club.
  • In conjunction with the General Manager provide full support of the Social Media requirements of PMGC. This will include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and our website.
  • In conjunction with the House Manager, produce advertising material for all Social Events.
  • In conjunction with the General Manager, produce advertising material for all PMGC Open Competitions.

Person Specification

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively via telephone, email and in person to members and visitors.
  • Friendly & approachable.
  • Highly motivated, with a will do attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Keen to develop professional and personal skills.
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Golf is beneficial but not essential.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
