Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 base, depending on experience.

Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract (this role has the option for part-time work considerations)

Right now, we’re looking for a Global Trade Manager to join our Customer Service & Logistics team within our Supply Chain function.
About the role
Reporting directly to the Head of Customer Supply Chain for HEINEKEN UK (HUK), the Global Trade Manager will be responsible for managing all activities related to HUK’s import and export operations. In this newly created position, you’ll be the acknowledged subject matter expert in the field of cross-border activities, processes, and regulatory requirements. You’ll ensure that our commercial arrangements are fully understood, documented, reported and in compliance with all relevant regulatory obligations.
You’ll be able to adapt your approach to build strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of HUK, other Operating Company and Global, with a key objective to gain a thorough level of knowledge across our import and export customers, ensuring that HUK has a full understanding of the global end markets for its products.
From an internal view, you’ll provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on relevant matters including legislation, delivery conditions, trade documentation, customs tariffs including classifications, transport, and storage options.
Who we’re looking for
For this role, we’re looking for someone with the ability to manage complex business problems. Part of this will include your ability to connect and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders at every level. Multitasking, agility and resilience is key.
We’d ideally like to see applications from candidates with proven experience within a senior Customs, Trade or Export compliance role especially within FMCG (short shelf-life experience would be desirable but not essential)
- A working knowledge of global trade laws, regulations, and UK Gov guidance.
- Experience in dealing with HRMC and audits and;
- Import procedures / Custom Tariffs and Inward Processing
