Job description
Working across a combined IAG Cargo worldwide network of both insourced and outsourced operations, you will be responsible for supporting the security manager in ensuring that IAG Cargo and its’ suppliers discharge the regulatory requirements as applicable to regulatory bodies where it operates.
You will assist the security manager to explore opportunities to challenge current regulation, and influence future regulation to the benefit of IAG Cargo. Working with key interfaces worldwide you will provide support and guidance to personally drive forward quantifiable performance and compliance improvement.
You will be supporting the business to identify and address areas of non-compliance, reporting on compliance trends and working with regulatory bodies and service providers to ensure IAG Cargo’s operations remain safe and secure.
The role also provides oversight, analysis and trend data to the group of network performance through robust reporting in relation to regulatory requirements and the standards of IAG Cargo.
DUTIES
Regulation
- Provides support to the Security Manager in interpreting the requirements of different regulatory frameworks, and ensures adequate measures are in place in order to comply.
- Engages with the relevant entities to ensure that IAGC has sight of what future changes may impact the business, and to support with the co-creation of security regulation.
- Develops relationships with security regulators, acting as a primary contact for their requests, ensuring timely responses and follow-up on action items.
- Coordinates and oversees the application and management of approvals granted by the security regulators
Business Support
- Liaison with, and support of, regional managers in dealing with all performance issues.
- Implementation of robust escalation procedures, including direct involvement in, and resolution of, significant security issues.
- Supports, advises, assists in development and implementation of solutions for ensuring compliance and communicates to the business the requirements and changes to security regulation.
- Supports the management of the security providers contracts across the hubs.
- Offering support and advice for all security matters, standards and processes across IAG Cargo.
Oversight and reporting
- Produces trend analysis, collects metrics, analysis and reports across all operations, ensuring transparency across the network.
- Uses targeted communications to educate the business on security risks as part of a security management system developed from trend analysis.
- Develops security reporting to provide transparency of performance to the IAGC Security Group and its’ sub-groups.

Qualifications
- Higher education and / or equivalent experience.
- A practical competence (3 years) or a professional qualification directly related to the security activities (preferable).
- Fluent written and spoken English, Spanish language skills an advantage.
Experience
1 or more of the following preferred:
- Military background
- SSR of UK or EU regulated agent or known consignor
- Corporate security management in a regulated environment
- Security risk management
- Project management
- Auditing/ security assessments
Must have the right to live and work in the UK and be eligible to hold an airside pass and must be able to be cleared to the appropriate security level.
