We're looking for a talented and experienced Makeup Artist with a passion for product to join our Product Development team. We’re looking for someone who loves to apply makeup, who is now passionate about understanding how to develop the products they apply.
The Global MUA Product Assistant Manager will be a visionary to inspire a new way of working, bringing Artistry into our Colour Cosmetics Development across multiple touchpoints.
About the role:
Responsible for the development of NPD projects and for defining industry standard benchmarks across key product attributes, art directing our ‘looks’ throughout the season across all No7BC brands, including; No7, Soap and Glory and Sleek.
- Establish a new way of working within our business, utilising trends, beauty looks and artistry to kick off the Cosmetics NPD process.
- Support the end-to-end NPD development of the pipeline over 3-5Y, managing and leading NPD projects from Ideation to Conceptualisation to Delivery & Launch.
- Define & implement industry ‘best in class’ guidelines and benchmarks such as pigmentation, colour pay off, blendability etc. for existing portfolio and upcoming NPD.
- Use a wealth of knowledge and experience within Makeup Artistry to critique and inform on how products should apply and perform on the skin.
- Utilise the latest in market, consumer & industry trends to generate Iconic Makeup Looks, translating high-end fashion and seasonal trends, that will inspire NPD & marketing moments throughout the calendar.
- Be a critical point of liaison between Product, In-Store, Brand and Operational to bring looks to life in 360 customer experiences.
- Establish a panel of external MUAs to create a constant line of feedback on current portfolio and future NPD which can elevate our cosmetics proposition and position in market.
- Upskill the cross-functional team on makeup artistry techniques and industry trends to continuously improve our processes, ensuring NPD is of the highest quality.
- Managing senior stakeholders to excite and align to key projects at critical approval points.
About you:
- Extensive experience (3-5 years) as a Makeup Artist, with a portfolio of work showcasing makeup artistry skills, and in-field experience from freelance, to working alongside major brands.
- Immeasurable passion and knowledge of industry trends, fashion and catwalk and product development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
