We are currently seeking an individual to join this team in the role of Global Markets Brokerage, Exchange and Clearing Analyst
The Trading Facilities and CCP Management (TFCM) team has been created to recognise the interconnected nature of the execution and clearing landscape across all asset classes.
The primary purpose of this role will be to provide consistent global oversight and governance across all intermediaries related to trade execution and clearing, encompassing: Trading Facilities (Brokers, Trade Venues, Exchanges) and Central Counterparties (CCPs).
In this role, you will:
- Provide a global, holistic view of the risks towards critical intermediaries, whilst optimising the business operating model and managing the associated costs
- Be responsible for running the governance committees overseeing intermediaries whilst assisting with all aspects of interaction with Trading Facilities and Central Counterparties
- Design and implement regular reporting for e-FX venues, providing insights into monthly trending volumes and comparative net effective rates per product
- Develop SME knowledge across region and asset class for all types of Trading Facility in order to guide other teams (operations, third party management, legal, relationship managers) on query resolution
- Assist with conducting due diligence reviews of all Central Counterparties that HSBC accesses, directly or indirectly, on a regular basis
- Assist with the maintenance of the global inventory of Central Counterparties relationships in addition to the monitoring of Central Counterparties rulebook changes and reporting to relevant stakeholders as appropriate
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
- Sound knowledge or a strong desire to learn about Fixed Income, Commodities and Currencies global markets businesses would be high advantageous
- Investment Banking exposure and proven experience working with big data, risk and creating forecasts / projections / scenario modelling
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships in addition to excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be able to work autonomously, be a forward thinker and possess sound analytical skills
- An understanding of clearing and the elements of Central Counterparties risk management frameworks would be beneficial as would knowledge of brokerage, clearing and exchange services
The base location for this role is Edinburgh.
