Job Title: Global Human Resources Business Partner
Job Location: UK Flexible (Hybrid working from home and attending our London office or other office locations when required for team meetings)
Salary: £58,200-£63,750
Hours: 35 hours per week (can be flexible). Part time hours and/or job share will be considered.
Contract Type: Fixed term contract for 14 months for maternity cover

If so, the British Red Cross is seeking a talented HR Business Partner for our International Directorate. In this strategic role, you will lead our International People and Learning team of 10 to deliver comprehensive HR, learning, and development services to support our dedicated staff in country offices overseas and those seconded worldwide to the Red Cross Movement.
You will provide strategic business partnering within your defined Directorate, identifying priorities, challenges, and opportunities and collaborating with leadership teams to develop innovative solutions. You will work with Business Partners from other functions, promote strong leadership and people management, and lead strategic people planning to ensure the organization's capabilities, capacity, and culture align with its goals.
A day in the life of a HR Business Partner will involve:
- Leading and inspiring the International People and Learning team and creating a culture in which they can bring their whole selves to work, love what they do, and deliver their best work
- Collaborating with leaders to define people priorities aligned with the desired employee experience at BRC.
- Providing business insight to People Services and share People Services insight with the business.
- Co-designing people products or initiatives with the HR team and business.
- Delivering products that empower employees to take ownership of their performance, careers, and learning through diverse options and resources.
- Identifying and developing talent, creating career-defining experiences for all employees.
- Implementing Diversity and Inclusion interventions to raise awareness and foster an authentic work environment.
- Taking accountability for assigned business area, supporting junior People Partners and People Services.
- Engaging in strategic workforce planning, collaborating with leaders to develop workforce plans encompassing capability, capacity, development, and positive working culture.
- Providing emergency HR Support available to those working overseas
To be a successful HR Business Partner to International, you’ll need:
- Considerable experience as a Business Partner at a senior level, demonstrating your ability to navigate complex HR challenges in an international environment
- Experience of working in a HR capacity in an emergency response organisation preferably that operates internationally.
- Strong collaboration skills, showing that you can work effectively with HR centres of excellence and other teams.
- Experience of successfully leading team to deliver great performance
- The confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and decision-makers, ensuring your voice is heard in important discussions.
- A good understanding of the full spectrum of People services, including Resourcing, Learning and Organisational Development and Employee Relations,
- To be data-savvy, as you'll need to interpret and share data to gain valuable insights that drive decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey your ideas and build relationships with others.
