Grimshaw is looking for a driven and talented Global Design Technology Coordinator to work with the Director of Design Technology to push forward key strategic initiatives across the global practice, liaising with key contributors and collaborators, and producing results with well documented outcomes
This role is primarily focussed on the global Design Technology team, coordinating DT strategy across all studios and contributing knowledge to bids to secure work. A Global Design Technology Coordinator is relied upon to have extensive knowledge in their area(s) of expertise, actively contribute and enable DT strategies, and also represent Grimshaw externally.
Core responsibilities of this role will cover global strategic and specialist initiatives, coordinating input from contributors across the practice, and sharing knowledge and feedback with the global DT team. Additional responsibilities will include meeting with the local DT teams and developing the reputation of Grimshaw DT externally.
The Grimshaw Design Technology team offers a vibrant and varied environment. For all our roles, a methodical approach problem-solving is required, as well as the ability to be self-organising with the ability to prioritise and balance workloads. Candidates must be able to clearly articulate advanced concepts in a way that team members of all levels can understand.
For this role, candidates must have proven leadership and management skills, and should be comfortable in representing the department to senior leadership.
Skills
- Knowledge of AEC design platforms (Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo) and their integrations is beneficial.
- Strong strategic planning skills.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills.
Experience
- Degree in architecture, engineering, architectural technology, or another relevant subject.
- Must have at least 8 years of relevant experience in AEC technology.
- An understanding of BIM concepts and software is beneficial.
- An understanding of computational concepts and software is beneficial.
- Experience with collaborative research projects is beneficial.
