About the Team
Organizational Culture (aka OC) department are the frontline guardians and promoters of our values, mission and vision within the company facing an audience of diversified staff around the world. From diversity & inclusion, study of organizational behaviors and effectiveness to event planning and creative design of cultural items, our daily work covers a broad spectrum of topics related to people and culture. Responsibilities
- Contribute to the evolution of Global D&I strategy and thought leadership, execute through impactful OKRs, and develop key internal and external relationships to deliver local initiatives.
- Work closely with the global mid-platform OC team, and regional OC operational teams to share best practice and collaborate on local initiatives, ensuring the company's cultural concepts of D&I are understood and implemented within business lines/units.
- Continuously encourage and promote D&I understanding and best practices and role model our ByteStyle.
- Coordinate with global and cross-functional colleagues on D&I events and initiatives.
- Provide D&I consultation across teams to ensure an inclusive experience for all employees.
- Act as point of contact/liaison between regional & global Organizational Culture team to develop best practices.
- Commercial acumen and understanding of the business at the company, function, market and team level (across ByteDance and product areas).
- Incorporate a data-driven approach into ways of working, leading and influencing.
- 5+ years of work experience in DEI/HR/Culture strategy with strong intercultural competencies.
- Strong change management, project/ programme management experience.
- Relationship and stakeholder management with excellent influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Be able to embrace change with a resilient attitude; and ability to work cross-functionally with flexibility and agility in role.
- Experience of using data and insights to inform DEI strategy and action planning.
- Experience working in a global corporation with a matrixed organizational structure is highly valued.
- Fluent in English; language skills or experience working in a multi-cultural environment is a plus, particularly across APAC and EMEA markets.
- Strong facilitation and coaching skills with the ability to positively engage and motivate others.
