An important part of the acceleration into Mars Snacking is transforming the way we identify, develop and embed/scale innovation. We built a new organization to shift the portfolio into winning adjacencies and new categories, immersive experiences, and address complex Freedom to Operate workstreams. This role will focus on leading and building Innovation team capabilities with full focus on embedding the new Growth Strategy and develop/deliver and scale the portfolio of the future (including Sustainability and Wellness).
What are we looking for?
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. MS/MBA preferred.
15+ years’ experience in marketing, including breakthrough innovation, scaling incubation from insights to scale and leading cross-functional teams. Food/Bev/CPG experience is preferred.
International experience in leading teams across geographies and functions (preferred).
Holistic business understanding from insights to shelf (desirable, viable, feasible innovation from insights to scale).
What will be your key responsibilities?
Lead and develop Innovation Platforms/Pipeline:
Lead and facilitate the development of Innovation Platforms to deliver new Snacking Growth Strategy
Develop and facilitate a strong pipeline across horizons to deliver on new strategy and commitments.
Strategic view on innovation/renovation/licensing opportunities
Innovation Community leadership and capability building:
Develop strong relationships and continue to build capability in the Innovation Community (e.g., agile ways of working, governance frameworks, innovation mind-set, metrics)
Innovation scaling:
Develop strong processes and relationships to ensure global scaling of innovation.
Resources/External view:
Create time bound recommendations for resource allocation to agile teams by function over the lifecycle of the projects and manage trade-offs between projects (25+ active projects)
Create external resource pools, agency rosters, knowledge partnerships and buffer resources.
Enabling Innovation Strategy:
Preparation of the Innovation Leadership Team, Enterprise Innovation Council meeting, quarterly regional connects and facilitation of Innovation GTO
