Position Summary

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join The Macallan Marketing team as Global Digital Marketing Assistant on a permanent basis. This role would be well suited to someone early in their career who is looking to develop and has a passion for marketing in an online world. Digital Marketing is a core pillar within the Global Direct to Consumer function and the team is responsible for the delivery of our Digital Marketing strategy across key owned channels of social media, the website, search marketing and email communications. The Digital Marketing team is expanding as a result of our ambitious strategy, and this new role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop skills across a broad remit of Digital Marketing channels and disciplines, with a global remit.

Job Description

The Digital Marketing Assistant will provide support across the full breadth of the team and will work with various teams (globally and locally) internally and with external agencies. The role will involve 6-month rotations between two of the key areas within The Macallan’s digital strategy; digital communications and, search marketing with measurement.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery across the following areas:

Digital Communications:

Integrated digital communications campaigns, from planning to evaluation across social media, email communications, website and search.
Website content optimisation including market and global content updates and population
Coordination of the translations process for all campaign activity across key markets.
Lead on campaign organisation for The Macallan owned channels. Overall coordination and management of our campaign management platform, including asset management, day-to-day agency liaison and local market communications.

Digital Search Marketing with Measurement:

Search marketing across paid and organic channels, working closely with specialist delivery partners to continue to optimise strategic approach driving efficiency, exposure and effectiveness.
Website optimisation including SEO best practice implementation, user experience testing and user experience redesign.
Evaluation and reporting of digital marketing activity on monthly and quarterly basis, working close with agencies and local market teams with a focus on continuous reporting improvement.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate for this role will be educated to degree level or equivalent and ideally have prior experience in a digital marketing role. They should demonstrate enthusiasm and passion to progress a career in digital marketing and exposure to the luxury industry is advantageous. Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are critical to this role with the successful candidate able to demonstrate their ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and tasks simultaneously.
