Job description

Some careers have more impact than others.

Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. It facilitates talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and wellbeing.

We are looking to recruit for a Global Cultural Programme Lead who will report to the Group Head of Wellbeing, Recognition and Future of Work.

During the pandemic we saw benefits to allowing more people to work from home (e.g. work-life balance improved). At the same time colleagues have told us that office working is important too because it enables human connection. Our goal is to get the balance right - ensuring we can be at our best and deliver great outcomes, whatever the working environment.

Embedding these changes and moving to hybrid ways of working are part of a big culture moment for the bank. Hybrid working at HSBC means working partly in the office and partly at home or remotely - rather than exclusively in one place or the other. It provides more flexibility around how, when and where we work, guided by the global principles of Customer Focus, Team Commitment and Flexibility.

As the Global Hybrid Working Specialist you will:

  • Develop a hybrid working strategy for HSBC Group and deliver agreed runway of activity
  • Influence and lead HR colleagues to implement the strategy locally across 60+ countries and all of our business lines.
  • Measure the effectiveness of embedding hybrid working across the group
  • Manage any changes to our existing HR products, services, polices and systems, which are needed to enable hybrid working
  • Act as the hybrid working SME, bringing insight / trends from the external environment on how hybrid is embedding, sharing learnings and making recommendations on what HSBC could potentially adopt
  • Update group messaging, materials and employee facing tools e.g Workplace Community, FOW Hub, and aligning this content with the overall Hybrid 2023 focus/runway
  • Ensure interventions are aligned through Human Resources, and our partners in Corporate Services and Technology and continue to focus on changing and embedding healthy hybrid behaviours
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should be able to demonstrate the following experience:

  • Proven experience of driving large scale behaviour changes in a complex and/or global cultural programme is essential
  • Experience of leading strategy development at group or global level is essential, in particular leading a hybrid working strategy is essential
  • Experience of engaging, communicating and managing at C-suite level along with strong stakeholder management skills including ability to constructively challenge senior employees is essential
  • Strong intellect and analytical capabilities, able to draw tangible insights (external and internal) and strategic decisions based on data is essential
  • Action orientated approach (focus on outputs and outcomes) having delivered previously at a group or global level is essential

This is a hybrid role with travel to the London office to connect in person 2-3 days a week.

You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
