Global Commercial Talent Lead

Job Purpose:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Talent Lead to join our team supporting the Global Commercial business!
As the GC Talent Lead, you will use your deep expertise in talent, and HR Business Partnering to shape and drive the strategic integrated talent management agenda within the Commercial business. You will build a high quality, diverse talent pipeline focussed on critical capabilities in the business – a true differentiator and a competitive advantage for GSK. You will act as a point of integration between Global and Regional to build synergies across Talent and streamline our approach to talent management.
You will partner with the Regional Talent POCs, HRBLs, and the COE to deliver the global to local talent strategy, accounting for requirements of the business now and in the future as a successful commercial organization. You will be an expert, consultant and thought partner to senior HR business leaders, to diagnose specific talent challenges / opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions, ensuring rigour and quality of adoption.
You will combine your knowledge of external research and best practice with your understanding of GSK and Global Commercial strategy and identify enterprise-wide opportunities and challenges. You will develop appropriate approaches and implementation standards for use across the business. You will be a thought leader and challenger who champions a ‘culture of talent’.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
- Partner with Regional Talent POCs, HRBLs, COE and the business to continue to drive the global to local talent agenda, future focused talent strategy and strategic workforce planning. Develop interventions that can be implemented throughout GC to strengthen talent and succession plans and external recruitment pipelines.
- Develop and implement a talent plan for GC that improves bench strength for critical and priority roles and provides sustainable, diverse talent pipelines; whilst building strong ownership from the business, working with the Global Centre of Excellence, HRBLs, our recruitment teams, and business leaders.
- Partner with GC Embedded CoE to coordinate and plan GCLT Talent activities
- Collaborate with Global Talent Business Leads and GSK’s People and Organisational Effectiveness Centre of Excellence to bring business insight to the global agenda and ensure consistency and coherence in approach across GSK
- Work with the GC Capability Lead and People, Data and Analytics Lead, business leaders and HRBLs to identify key strategic capabilities and devise talent plans to meet future workforce needs.
- Bring the outside in, leverage external market insights, best practice knowledge and GSK global talent practices to assess talent opportunities both across Commercial, collaborate with Talent & DEI colleagues to recommend solutions designed to optimize the efficacy of Commercial talent management practices (recruit, develop, retain) and enhance our pipeline of diverse talent.
- Monitor the delivery of key talent KPIs and ensure business leaders demonstrate accountability for development and delivery of key plans in their areas
- Desire for excellence, striving for constant improvement and increased efficiency, with a proven track record of project delivery.
- Strong consulting and relationship building and communication skills, to work across different cultures and ability to adjust to different approaches

- Be an influencer, experienced in defining and delivering focused and impactful plans in a large, complex, matrix organisation which is culturally and geographically diverse with multiple stakeholders in HR and the business.
- Demonstrated competence in leading change around diverse talent acquisition and inclusion and diversity
- Experience of working with data to create insight and diagnose talent and recruitment risks and opportunities
- Excellent consultancy skills with confidence and ability to influence, challenge and coach at a senior leader
- Demonstrated learning agility and organisational skills, experience of working in a matrixed environment and leveraging the OneHR model to deliver effectively
- Strong relationship building, to work and influence across different cultures with the ability to adjust to different approaches, and deliver through external partners as required
Preferred Experience / qualifications and skills:
- Have a degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources and/or Business/Management
- Experience of working in a large region and or global business / Pharmaceutical Industry
- Developing people and building a talent pipeline
- Strategic workforce planning
- Knowledge of learning
- Experience in data analytics
