Job description

First of all, we don't make chewing gum! Bubblegum Stuff designs, manufactures and distributes novelty products and games to High street and online retailers. We are a small independent company that is currently in an exciting growth stage following successful expansion into the US market. We are looking for a sales manager to work within our operations team to build upon our current success and grow our business with the UK, US, and European markets. You will see tangible results from your work, reporting to the Director you will get exposure to the business as a whole and how your work directly impacts its overall success. This is a varied and hands-on role so is suitable for someone with a can-do attitude and Entrepreneurial spirit.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage our entire key account and independent business across the UK, USA, and Europe.
  • Building relationships to ensure continued growth.
  • Upselling and cross-selling to increase revenue.
  • Pitching to retailers to get new products placements
  • Managing critical paths and forecasts ensuring stock is available to meet retailers' deadlines.
  • Planning, analysing and reporting back to the director on all aspects of sales
  • Meeting agreed KPI and quarterly sales targets

Day to day tasks would include:

  • Invoicing and processing orders
  • Processing samples and quotes requests
  • Customer service contact to independent accounts
  • Managing online sales portals such as Faire and Ankorstore
  • New customer onboarding
  • Prospecting for new customers
  • Following up leads
  • Managing US Rep Groups
  • Liaising with 3PL warehouses in the UK and USA
  • Exhibiting at tradeshows in the UK and USA
  • Mailouts of new catalogues and monthly newsletters
  • CRM Management
  • Commission payments

Key Qualities / Experience:

  • Sales experience in a product/wholesale business/B2B sales experience
  • Autonomous and able to manage own workflow
  • Entrepreneurial/ability to identify new revenue opportunities outside of existing channels
  • Problem solver
  • Excellent at multitasking
  • Has good rapport/can build strong and long term business relationships with customers, reps distribution partners
  • Has experience in using quickbooks, google sheets, trello, shopify, zapier

The Bubblegum Stuff office is based at Trinity Buoy Wharf on the River Thames in East London. This position would be suitable for someone living in London or the surrounding counties. Remote working will be considered but not on a full-time basis.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
