As a Barclays GFCO Policy and Procedure Analyst, you will be part of the GFCO Policy and Procedure Team, you will be asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. You will be a part of the team that drives change and innovation in a large group within Operations (GFCO). The team you’ll be working with interacts with a wide variety of teams within and outside of Barclays, including the GFCO Operations Teams (Screening, PEP Hub, AML, and Financial Crime Exits), Risk and Control, BIA, Group Business Representatives, and Financial Crime (2LOD).

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally can request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. • Supporting category 1 & 2 changes across GFCO procedure to completion ensuring alignment to policy
- Managing the annual review process and collating all feedback, reporting findings to the P&P Manager
- Participating in senior management calls, capturing actions, and liaising with the accountable P&P Manager
- Supporting the team with key deliverables driven by new regulatory requirements
- Driving alignment and consistency between policy and procedures
- Assisting with the maintenance of the portfolio of procedures across GFCO
What we’re looking for:
• Broad knowledge and understanding of AML, Sanctions, PEPs, Transaction Monitoring, Financial Crime Operations
- Proven knowledge of Barclays WO&GFCO
- Proven experience analyzing and drafting procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and detail oriented
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field
- Proven experience in the financial industry
- Proven experience in Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions Screening, PEPs, Enhanced Due Diligence, or Transaction Monitoring/SARs
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
