Allied Exploration & Geotechnics Limited (AEG) currently has full‐time employment opportunities for experienced Geotechnical Engineers/Engineering Geologists.

1. Site investigation contract supervision/management (of drilling rigs and personnel) with liaison with various stakeholders,
2. Geotechnical trial pitting works,
3. In‐situ testing for the determination of material engineering parameters,
4. Soil and rock logging to current industrial guidelines,
5. Environmental groundwater/gas monitoring and sampling,
6. Timely submission of checked site information prepared during the investigation contract, such as; drilling records, weekly timesheets, chain of custody forms, engineering chargeable timesheets etc.,
7. Organisation responsibilities in relation to the determination of exploratory hole locations, underground service clearance, operator instructions, attending contract meetings and walkovers etc.,
8. Technical information submissions and involvement in factual report preparation, and;
9. Site health and safety responsibilities in connection with preparing site specific working practice documentation, site inductions and ensuring site operative welfare and safety.
We welcome enquiries from candidates which have between 1 and 5 years’ site investigation experience. The successful candidates shall have a 1st degree in a geosciences or engineering type discipline, and desirably (although not essential) a higher MSc engineering type qualification. They will also have an up to date CSCS card.
Furthermore, candidates are expected to have some experience in contract management of ground investigation projects and would only require routine levels of office intervention and supervision. They shall be fully acquainted with site based health and safety requirements and safe working practices and shall have some experience in the correlation of site investigation information, ideally in preparation of geotechnical Factual Reports and will be well versed in the use of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel).
Candidates will be expected to work locally within either the Northeast or the Northwest, as well as further afield throughout the UK.
Full training will be provided by the Company at all stages of employment; this will include in‐house and external industry relevant approved training.
