Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Officer – TEC118
Grade G (SCP 19 – 24) £27,852 – £31,099 per annum
37 hours per week, permanent
The Stafford Borough Council Technology Shared Service is looking to recruit a Geographic Information Systems Officer to the GIS/Addressing team to help develop and maintain key corporate systems and data for both Cannock Chase Council and Stafford Borough Council.
As a GIS specialist you will be responsible for ensuring the Authority address database (LLPG) and other corporate spatial datasets meet national standards and you will have an important part to play in the future direction of internal geographic systems and thus a significant role in improving services and creating efficiencies.
It is essential that you have experience of working with large datasets, can work accurately under pressure, follow and implement best practice guidance, read maps and plans, have excellent communication skills, are comfortable working on multiple projects of varying nature at the same time and like to keep up to date with the latest technology.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
· Data matching and spatial analysis experience.
· Development and management of business processes and systems.
· Spatial and address data maintenance.
· An excellent working knowledge of GIS.
