Geo-Environmental Engineer

Northampton

Salary up to £40,000 (plus company benefits)

I’m looking for an enthusiastic Geo-Environmental Engineer or Engineering Geologist who wants to take on an exciting new role working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Northampton.

Key skills/ qualification for this Geo-Environmental Engineering role:

  • Degree qualified in Geology, Civil Engineering or another relevant subject
  • Ability to read and interpret Geological Maps
  • Ability to write Phase 1 ground investigation reports
  • Knowledge of writing Coal Mine Risk Assessment reports
  • Willingness to work onsite digging trial pits and working with windowless sampling rigs
  • Sample taking and logging from bore hole cores
  • Knowledge of current Monitoring regulations is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues
  • Full UK driving licence

Key duties of this Geo-Environmental Engineering role:

  • Assist with production of materials management plans, method statements, risk assessments
  • Working with site personnel to ensure projects are implemented safely
  • Direct / supervise site activities such as excavations, drilling, etc
  • Set up, operate and maintain soil and water treatment systems
  • Carrying out sampling, scheduling laboratory analysis and assessing results in compliance with the specification / strategy
  • Assisting with co-ordinating / appointing subcontractors
  • Ongoing liaison with clients’ representatives or third party verification engineers

Commutable Locations:

Rugby, Milton Keynes, Bedford, St Neots, Market Harborough, Godmanchester.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £40,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
