Geo-Environmental Engineer
Northampton
Salary up to £40,000 (plus company benefits)
I’m looking for an enthusiastic Geo-Environmental Engineer or Engineering Geologist who wants to take on an exciting new role working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Northampton.

Key skills/ qualification for this Geo-Environmental Engineering role:
- Degree qualified in Geology, Civil Engineering or another relevant subject
- Ability to read and interpret Geological Maps
- Ability to write Phase 1 ground investigation reports
- Knowledge of writing Coal Mine Risk Assessment reports
- Willingness to work onsite digging trial pits and working with windowless sampling rigs
- Sample taking and logging from bore hole cores
- Knowledge of current Monitoring regulations is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues
- Full UK driving licence
Key duties of this Geo-Environmental Engineering role:
- Assist with production of materials management plans, method statements, risk assessments
- Working with site personnel to ensure projects are implemented safely
- Direct / supervise site activities such as excavations, drilling, etc
- Set up, operate and maintain soil and water treatment systems
- Carrying out sampling, scheduling laboratory analysis and assessing results in compliance with the specification / strategy
- Assisting with co-ordinating / appointing subcontractors
- Ongoing liaison with clients’ representatives or third party verification engineers
