What you will do

We are seeking an experienced field based commercial professional to Join our Genomics European Team to be based in the UK. In this role they will be responsible for protecting and growing Tecan Genomics product portfolio (NGS) and developing strategic accounts plan to further develop our Tecan Genomics Business.


Responsibilities will include

  • Individual sales territory responsibility for Order Entry (OE) and sales
  • Prospects, develops, and closes sales at or above goal in assigned territory
  • Participates in lead generation for sales through routine account penetration
  • Contacts prospective customers to determine product needs and performs sales presentations to match those identified needs
  • Develops and maintains high-level customer satisfaction and retention through one-on-one
  • Generation of customer required documentation including correctly formatted quotations
  • Submitting tenders and RFQs
  • Develops and implements plans to achieve assigned sales growth and product mix
  • Actively participates in sales meetings, providing quality input and follow-up actions
  • Works closely with commercial colleagues and global marketing team to develop and implement Sales tactics.

What you bring along

We'll expect you to have a BSc (preferably in Life Sciences) and at least 3 years commercial professional experience preferably within the NGS space. You'll have excellent organization and time management skills and be experienced in presenting and negotiating. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong communicator that can effectively engage with customers and internal stakeholders across multi-disciplinary and international teams. You know your way around CRM systems, are commercially astute with the ability to work to budget and have an excellent understanding of the NGS sales process. You are confident working under pressure with minimum supervision in a matrixed sales and service environment.
